Interview with Bruce Goldwell

Interviewer: What was your motivation for writing the book "The Door to Super Achievement"?

Goldwell: In the United States, almost 90% of all business startups fail. In other words, only about 10% of those that start businesses ever succeed. This is incredible! We live in the greatest country in the world and yet too many people are not being successful in their ventures or reaching their full potential. You don't have to look very far among friends, family or neighbors to see that there is a high number of the people in this country that never realize their dreams. My goal and my dream is to help reverse this trend not only for business people but for everyone who has dreams and goals they want to accomplish in life to realize them.

Interviewer: Why is the success rate so low?

Goldwell: More then 50% of the energy needed for anyone to achieve his or her goals and dreams is mindset. It's an insufficient mindset that is the number one reason why so many people who, although they may work very hard all their life, never achieve what they set out to do. We all are programmed by events and information in our lives that either establishes negative or positive energies in our mindset. It's the negative energies that become the obstacles to our reaching our dreams. In "The Door to Super Achievement", I share a step-by-step process to help remove obstacles that keep people from moving toward their dreams and help establish a pathway, which becomes the conduit between where a person is and what they want to achieve.

Interviewer: Can you give an example of one of these obstacles?

Goldwell: The number one obstacle is fear. Though fear isn't real, many people suffer from this emotion, which keeps one from moving forward in his or her life and reaching their goals. We are either in fear mode or love mode. Love mode takes us toward the things we want and fear takes us away from things we want. Get rid of fear and you remove one of the roadblocks that keeps you from moving in the direction you want to go. Too many people create false obstacles that aren't really obstacles and in doing so create a mindset that keeps them from moving forward. With a negative mindset, no matter how much effort we put forth we just can't seem to get to where we want to be.

Interviewer: So a positive mindset is essential in achieving ones goals?

Goldwell: It's not just whether you have a positive or negative mindset. Though you can't be thinking negative thoughts more then 50% of the time and think you are going to succeed in what you want to do. We have to overwrite negative energies with positive ones, clear negative energies that keep us from moving forward and create a mindset that magnetizes the people and money that will make our dreams a reality.

Interviewer: Can people around us influence us?

Goldwell: Of course if people are negative they are going to affect us in a negative way. We can even be affected by the negative thoughts of others. I explain this more fully in my book. The key is knowing how to block negative thoughts that others may have about us and negative energies around us that are always draining our energy. Only about 5% of people know how to block these negative influences by locking their bodies' energy. I show readers how to test their bodies energy to see how it can be affected by others and outside influences and how to lock their energy against them.

Interviewer: If mindset is more then 50% of energy needed to move one forward, what is the other part and how does mindset affect those things?

Goldwell: For every action there is an opposite but equal reaction. The actions and events needed to be successful is less then half of the energy needed to accomplish a goal. Although we may be working hard to make things happen, if our mindset is wrong, no matter what we do physically toward accomplishing our goal, what we get is failure. So for everything to work in harmony, we first have to establish the right mindset so that when actions and events take place in working toward our goal we are actually moving in a positive direction. Too many people are spinning their wheels and never going anywhere. For others, they may not be moving fast enough to see success. Many times the window of opportunity is a small one. In order to seize the moment, we have to be fully prepared.

Interviewer: Is there hope for habitual failure?

Goldwell: The same old habits create the same old results. In order to change ones destiny one has to change their habits. Our destiny is controlled by our thoughts and we can control our thoughts, so we control our destiny. Thoughts are the seeds of our reality. Have you ever met people who are negative most all the time? Negative people find they cannot be successful no matter what they do. They continually move from job to job and probably from relationship to relationship. I use to think negative things a lot. Why me? This event or that event is the cause of where I am today. What I had to do was change the messages I was sending from negative ones to positive ones.

Interviewer: How can someone change from negative thinking to positive thinking?

Goldwell: I created positive affirmations that I could either say from memory or read to myself. Whenever I found myself in a negative mode, I would start repeating one of my positive affirmations over and over again. Before I knew it, I would be thinking about my goals and how I was going to achieve them. I used negative thinking as a springboard to my positive affirmations. A very simple affirmation I used many times is: The people and money that will help me accomplish my dreams are coming into my life. By changing my thoughts, I changed my destiny and my reality. Because I had a habit of thinking negative thoughts so much, it helped me to move toward the positive affirmations a lot. This accelerated changing my mindset to a positive one, which opened a door into a world where success is the norm. It's a new world for me, and one I am sure others would like to experience.

Interviewer: The byline for "The Door to Super Achievement" is: Aligning Winning Principles Creates a Straight Line to Winning! You mentioned earlier that you help people establish a pathway that is the conduit from where one is to what they want to achieve. Is that part of the step-by-step system you share in this book?

Goldwell: Yes. And best of all, I have made this process easy to understand. I wrote the book so that the layperson could understand the principles I share. I show how to remove negative obstacles and how to establish a positive mindset. By creating an image in the mind of ones dream and goals so strongly that you start to sense its reality, it in fact, eventually becomes a reality. The purpose of "The Door to Super Achievement" is change mindsets to positive ones. I will have another book available this summer titled, "The Power of Choice" which will help to define ones goals and dreams that will create actions and events toward their fulfillment. First, as I said earlier, we must be sure our mindset is aligned properly so that when we start working on actions and events we have positive outcomes.

Interviewer: Who should buy "The Door to Super Achievement"?

Goldwell: This book is not for everyone. If you are happy with where you are in life and don't have anything you desire to have or do then this book is not for you. This book is for people who have goals and dreams they desire to accomplish. If you want a better job, a successful career, to start a new business or expand one you already have, have a lasting relationship or marriage, to have children, get something you invented developed and marketed, want to become the top person in your career field, to take a dream vacation not once in a lifetime but once a year, or anything else that takes you to a higher level of living, then "The Door to Super Achievement" is for you.

Interviewer: One last question, where can people get your book?

Goldwell: The book is available through Barnes and Noble bookstores, Deseret Books, or can be ordered online from my site at http://brucegoldwell.com.
